A Learning Journey

It’s been a while that I have been thinking to write about experiences that people ought to take. Travelling has been considered as the best option to refresh the soul and renew the spirit so that it gets ready for the new challenges. Travelling saves not only your soul but your mind from damaging. It’s a cure from the infectious diseases you receive from the people of your comfort zone. Why does this happen? How can traveling work as a prevention before it functions as a cure?

The comfort zone is the place where you are deluded to feel comfort and relaxed, yet this delusion comes to an end as you attempt to make a change. All sorts of obstacles arise as you tend to be with a different mindset. It is called comfort zone because it doesn’t accept innovations and creativity, because it sets power only to those in power. People of less social status are keen on revealing their skills and creating opportunities for themselves to have a better life. The comfort zone kills them to remain in their usual class and it accepts them to go down even.

It’s my personal life and I am the one who should decide where to go and how to live. People’s contribution differ according to the zone you choose; things are different from villages to towns. Outside of towns if you are in a declined class, thus no doors for you to go up. It is the established rules in the village that you of a declined class should stay the same by all means. Yet! It’s not the end of the journey, the journey starts as you go out of your comfort zone. Things then change and become prosperous. The challenges out the comfort zone are dozens and dozens; these challenges are the keys to your success and change.

I am a person of a working class whose father used to work in both of farming and teaching. Farming was a craft he learnt from his father, my grandfather. My father is a teacher of Math who outperformed his colleagues at school and succeeded in taking his learners to the next level. He used to work till midnight in farms then go back home to wake up at 7 to give his Math classes. My father told me once, “hey son, work hard to achieve your dreams, dreams come true only for those who wake up in the early morning to plan, work, and make decisions”. What my father told me was engraved in my memory that I shall wait for my turn to tell it to my son. Going out of my comfort zone was the best option I ever thought about in my whole life. It helped me become a better person who is full of energy and power.

My journey started few years ago where I thought of taking experiences and learning from different people. The journeys I went through so far enlightened my cerebrum and made me wise. Wise enough to go for more and be thirsty for knowledge. Wisdom is not taught, it is learnt from the calamities that life offers. I got to face issues and fix them and I got to meet devious people and improve my diplomacy to live with them. It is difficult, not easy. A journey I decided to go through so far is teaching out of my comfort zone. It was an idea but I made it possible to happen. An adventure of a high sort full of various elements related to personalities, culture, and mindsets. This journey remains a great one as it offered me a chance to find a way becoming a better person.
